2. We (FAmSCo) would *love* to hear about the new to-be-mentors and other suggestions in general, but someone from LATAM has to take initiative and come forward with the names/ideas.

i share the opinion that communication and contributions back should be transparent – we do know what other countries in LATAM are doing, but as example brazil contributors work on brazil-spins – report in brazil-portuguese language … so the benefit of contributions back to the Fedora World is not really visible – so why is it good to invest our efforts in Brazil if we get nothing back to the rest of the world, what can we learn or get back from them? Or am i wrong?

we have no 30 day probation period anymore since the mentoring process was established 2 years ago – althought the mentoring period can be stretched as long as the candidate is not ready to stay on his own feed.

we also work on further improvement of the Mentoring Process with a Mentors Survey that is currently running.

I would like to see the regional FAmSCo Member Maria Leandro involved in this discussion!
