First Edit Attempt - adjusted levels to bring out the faded mat. Desaturate filter on Henry's face

Second Edit Attempt - above image in black and white. No auto levels, because I liked the way the mat looked kind of faded.

Final Edit -- Combination of top two using a Luminosity Filter on a layer with the black and white face over the top. I still liked the look of the slightly faded mat because it brings out the face (the entire work, all three steps, took about 10 minutes in Photoshop)
